    Saturday Tours are available on each of the following Saturdays: 24, 31 October, 7, 14, 21 and 28 November, 3pm.
    Informal tour of the exhibition with a member of Spacex staff or invited guest.

  3. Family Storytelling Workshop

    10.30am - 12.30pm, all ages, free, booking essential.
    'Blazing Tales' arrive in Exeter as part of their journey of discovery along The River Exe mapping a new story through song writing, storytelling and visual art. Join us for this fun family workshop.

  4. Action Film Workshop
    29 October 2009, 10.00am
    7–12 yr olds, 10am – 4pm, cost £6.00. Booking essential.
    A workshop led by local artist Mark Greenwood. Children will work together to create a film inspired by the skate boarding, dancing and bmx-ing in Shaun Gladwell’s work.

  5. Big Draw at the Big Screen
    Video works by Shaun Gladwell (SPACEX's current featured artist) will be showcased on the BBC Big Sceen in Plymouth, Bristol and Swindon from Oct 20th. Artists' collective 'Draw' will be engaging passers by in Plymouth with the film-works by creating a large-scale public drawing activity.
  6. Big Draw Workshop
    All ages up to 12 years, 1.30pm - 4.00pm. Free, drop-in. Exeter Central Library.
    As part of their Bronze Arts Award young people from Spacex’s regular Outer Space group will encourage library visitors to draw images, which illustrate the content of books they find most fascinating.

  7. Charcoal Making

    Wed 29 Oct, Haldon Forest
    Find out how charcoal is made and do some large-scale drawings in the forest. This event is run in association with The Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World.
  8. TAKE PLACE
    24 October 2009, 1.00pm
    Rope Swing Workshop

    Bristol based artists James Kennard and Heath Bunting will lead a participatory event at a secret location within the public realm of Exeter. The artists will be demonstrating essential skills in rope swing making. Please come wearing appropriate clothing.

    Meet at Spacex at 1pm, before heading out to a public space in Exeter City Centre.

  9. TAKE PLACE

    Discussion

    X-Panel will be hosting a discussion at Spacex, prompted by the rope swing interventions held earlier in the day.

    Come join South West based curator Katie Daley-Yates (Situations), artists James Kennard and Heath Bunting, along with X-Panel, as they discuss the project and the issues that surrounds the reclaiming of public space.   10. The Halldon Hill Project
    31 October, SPACEX
    Ongoing throughout October, Spacex is supporting The Form Graffiti Collective to run a series of spray can art workshops with residents at The Haldon Hill Travellers site. Participants will learn new skills and enhance their living environment. The project will end with a public exhibition of created works at Spacex, 2-4pm on the 31st October.
  11. Crafty Draw

    29 Oct, 6.00–9pm. Free
    Relax, chat, make your own stunning canvas carriers with stitch and fabric inks drawn on cloth bags. No experience necessary, just bring yourself and some refreshments to share.
